Microsoft .NET vs Java
Posted on 01/07/2010 | 2 CommentsThis is hilarious! I think this might turn out to be a proper World Wide Rave fresh out of Norway. What do you reckon? -
Making Business Out of Norwegian Talent…? Yes, please
Posted on 21/06/2010 | No CommentsInvesting tons of money to develop professional Norwegian athletes is a given in Norway, heck, it´s a must! If we stopped doing it it would be devastating! This is such an incorporated way of doing it in the Norwegian Society that the question is not whether or not we should keep doing it, but how much MORE should we invest in it. Now, the question I want to ask is; does this apply to any other industries in Norway that strictly speaking depend on talent "production"? And I think you might guess what I'm getting at - cultural production generally and film making specifically. -

Posted on 27/05/2010 | No CommentsWhen creating something, you may often question whether it is good or bad, interesting or not. As a child you thought everything you made was great, didn't you? I certainly did. What happened? You turn 25 and suddenly everything you create is shit? Nobody find it interesting? -
How to make a digital story in front of 100 people
Posted on 08/05/2010 | 1 CommentThe other day I was asked to teach students studying to become pre-school teachers at The University College of Oslo how to make a digital story. At first I thought it would be a regular workshop with 15 to 20 students and that we would be able to use 1 to 2 days producing digital stories while I would supervise. These types of workshops I really love! I get to talk to people all the time, and help people tell their stories during the time we spend together in the workshop. -
The potential of Identification in film
Posted on 17/03/2010 | 2 CommentsIdentification is a word I hear a lot when it comes to making films. You want the audience to identify with the characters, or at least the main character. That´s very important! But what is identification? How do you identify with a character? And why? -
