About Sweet Chili Stories

Sweet Chili Stories consist of two women from Norway – Nadina Helen Bakos and Merete Grimeland. Overflowing with ideas we started working together January 2008, and have since then made three music videos, one short film, and two documentaries.

We work on manuscripts together, and during production Helen is DOP and Merete directs. Influenced by Håkon Liu, a Swedish director whom both of us have met during seminars at Mediefabrikken, we strongly believe that practicing by making sketches with actors, we will constantly be able to improve as filmmakers individually and as a team.

About the Author

Merete Grimeland works with both fiction and documentary film. She is currently doing a Masters in Media Studies where the film "I Walk Alone" and a thesis about character engagement is her masters project.
